Fool-Proof Wheat Bread

Mix together:

1/4 cup hot tap water
1 Tbsp. yeast
1/2 Tbsp. honey

Set aside.

In large bowl, using dough hooks, mix together:

2-1/2 cups very hot tap water
3-1/2 cups whole wheat flour

Add:

1 Tbsp. salt
1/3 cup canola oil
1/3 cup honey

Add yeast mixture. Mix well.

Add:

3-1/2 cups whole wheat flour (you will need a total of 7 cups flour for this recipe)

Mix together until the dough forms a ball and doesn't stick to sides of bowl.

Spray large bowl with non-stick cooking spray. Put dough in bowl, cover with clean dish towel, and let rise until double in size (approximately one hour).

Punch dough down and let rest for a few minutes. Spray 2 loaf pans with non-stick cooking spray. Form 2 loaves and put in loaf pan. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Brush tops of loaves with melted butter.
