Sugar Cookies

Cream together:

2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs

Then add:

2 cups milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. almond or lemon flavoring (I use almond)

Mix well.

Add: 7 cups flour - plus you will need a lot of flour when you roll out the dough
(You can mix in 8 cups flour if you have dough hooks)

Roll out dough 3/8" thick, cut into shapes and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

Cream Cheese Frosting:

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together the cream cheese and butter. Mix in the vanilla, then gradually stir in the powdered sugar. (Add a little milk for desired consistency)
