Mac 'N Cheese (made from scratch)

The kids will love it!!!

4 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup flour
4 cups warm milk (heat in microwave for about 2 minutes)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
4 cups grated cheddar cheese

16 oz. pkg. elbow macaroni (or your favorite pasta)

In large pan on stove top, melt butter on medium-low heat. Add flour, stirring constantly with whisk, for approximately 2 minutes. Gradually add warm milk, whisking constantly, for approximately 5 minutes or until smooth. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cheese. Mix well. Turn heat down and allow to simmer.

While sauce is cooking, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Add pasta to sauce.

Optional: Put macaroni and cheese in greased baking dish. Sprinkle grated cheese on top. Heat in oven until cheese is melted.
